What Hath Rob Wrought?

How About Two? | March 18

In my 38.4 years of life, a number of things have been created with my two hands; as a child, I built low villages out of Lincoln Logs and long cityscapes with multicolored Lego bricks.

As a teenager, I built a huge wall between my parents and myself and then tore it down as entered my twenties.

I’ve built cars, hung siding, erected walls, put together Ikea furniture and made a number of awesome meals.

No doubt, I’ve wrought some stuff.

And love? Yeah, there’s been that too.

Cold beer on a hot summer day? Love it. Motorcycles? I love them too.

Writing, sushi, cars, music, video games, dogs, kids, parks, sunshine, snow, rain… love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, and love.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg; If I listed all the things I loved, we’d be here all day.

But, I can count the times I’ve been in ‘love’ with the fairer sex on one hand and have some fingers left over. And, it goes without saying, the biggest and best love of my life has been my wife, P.Pie.

Until recently.

Hang on; I know what you might be thinking - is an issue back at the How About Two? homestead; nothing could be further from the truth. It would be safe to say that things are great at home.

No, I’m talking about the newest little lady in my life – The Squeaker. Every time I look at her, I am amazed at what I, er, we created. Frankly, she’s the best thing I’ve ever done and my heart swells with pride.

And for P.Pie, too. My love for her has grown exponentially. Whenever I think my heart couldn’t possibly love two people more, I wake up and see P.Pie and The Squeaker. And the love in my heart grows a little more.

One beef about What Hath Rob Wrought?

  1. Welcome, Rob!
