Too Many To Count

Genuine | August 4

Office Worker:  Wow! 4 kids 6 and under?

Genuine:  Yeah I know.

Office Worker:  How many diapers is that?

Genuine: 27,396

Office Worker:  Ha ha that’s funny!

Genuine:  Who’s joking?

This conversation actually took place, and I was not exaggerating the numbers.  If my calculations are correct each child will go through nearly 9,000 diapers in their lifetime. This calculation is made given the child is potty trained at 3 years old. Now have I changed my fair share of those diapers?  It depends on who you ask.

10 beefs about Too Many To Count

  1. Holy Shit!

  2. Ugh. 9,000? My daughter will be two this month. Does that mean we’ve changed (and daycare has changed) 6,000 diapers? With 3,000 to go? I say again, ugh.

  3. I’m thinking… no. But I wasn’t there to count. :)

  4. I can’t even fathom.

Why not just buy a wet/dry vac from Sears and hook tubes to their butts…

  5. So now we have to do the MONEY MATH right? (collective gasp)

  6. Tony we blew up three shop vacs testing that theory. They just don’t mke them in “industrial” strength.

  7. I prefer to live in a land where I don’t have to think about things like this….la, la, la, la, la…..I don’t hear you!

  8. Potty training not until 3 years old? Are you insane?
That should be done by age 2, max. It would sure save you some diapers, too.

  9. This is why I am buying diapers now for my pregnant wife of 4 months.

  10. Wet/Dry vacs! Why didn’t I think of it? This Internets thing is going to pay for itself yet. We’re only up to 4045 so far.

Now that I think about it, an extension cord/tether seems an even better idea. This thing is going places.
