Giving birth to triplets - twice
AdventureDad | May 4I will never again complain that one child is lots of work. Or two. Or three. Rich and Sharon Fontana just gave birth to triplets in a New Jersey Hospital. And they had apparently not received any medical help to get pregnant. Wow, can you imagine having triplets! It must mean more chaos than I can imagine. But wait, there’s more. Much more. The Fontana’s already went through another child birth two years ago. Sharon then gave birth to another set of triplets! So now they’ve got six kids in diapers age two and under. The husband seems pretty cool about the whole thing, or perhaps he’s too shocked to speak. He simply says, “It’s gonna be rough in the beginning”. He’s probably thinking about the 40 diapers and three dozen bottles they will go through every day. What makes the story even more incredible is that Sharon was told 12 years ago by her doctor that she would not get pregnant.
So now they’ve got Danielle, David, and Dylan from before and just gave birth to Elyssa, Eric, and Evan. Suddenly I feel very silly about having problems coming up with a name for our baby girl who’s hopefully arriving in August. Best of luck to the Fontana’s and their children!

I am happy for them, but at the same time I felt sick to my stomach when I read this. After my twins were born I used to have nightmares (true story) about finding out I was pregnant with triplets.
These people must be more organized than I am.
I wish they were my next door neighbors… I could go over and help whenever I wanted (assuming they would welcome it LOL) and be in baby-heaven.
I dated a guy a long, long time ago who was the youngest of 16 kids. 12 of them came from a multiple-birth pregnancy. Only 4 were singletons. That woman could ovulate like nobody’s business!
I have to make sure my wife doesn’t see this. The next time I complain about how hard it is with our 1 child, she’ll bring this up.
My God. I can’t imagine the stress that these two people will go through. I hope they have a strong support system.
I have twins and I feel overwhelmed at times. I can’t imagine triplets x 2!
While this may be a bit unpopular, I can’t help but wonder what was going through their minds. Think about it for a momment. They just had triplets, and somewhere around the triplets first birthday they decide, now is the time to have more kids? I sure hope they have a good support system in place.
LatteMan, if they had been told that they couldn’t get pregnant, then they might have been thinking that the triplets were a one-in-a-million shot and it couldn’t possibly happen again - pregnancy, not triplets. I think your odds of having triplets twice has to be somewhere around the odds of getting struck by lightening. Somebody buy them a lotto ticket and get the dad a vasectomy!
Well I can bet they will make arrangements to gaurantee that they CAN’T get pregnant again!
I have to go with LatteMan here. If I had been struck by lightning, I don’t think I would run and play in puddles with a wire frame umbrella during a rainstorm, happily thinking, “Well, it happened once so what are the chances?” And I’m, sorry, DDD and then EEE? I just hope dad gets snipped before Farley, Fontana and Fritz enter the scene.
OOPS..I didnot know such a website could ever exist.
