Hooray Time Change!

More Diapers | April 3

I, for one, am happy about the time change. We’re now all on Hayes time. Yup, while the rest of you suckers were whiling away on regular time, I’ve been on Hayes time all along. Hayes used to get up at 5:30 — it was a struggle to get him to sleep until 6am. Now he sleeps until almost 7. At night, he’s usually in bed when I get home around 6:30. Now, I’ll get an hour with him. That’s right — it sucks that you all have to get with the program. You’re on Hayes time now. Deal with it. Hahahahaha!

11 beefs about Hooray Time Change!

  1. Yay for you!

I’m equally as thrilled about the time change. I feared it at first, believing for sure that The Mouse (4 mos) would wake up an hour earlier, but is in fact sleeping an hour LATER. Yay for me! :)

  2. So this is YOUR fault?? ;)

  3. No, it’s my son’s fault ;)

  4. I am in a HAZED time…a DAZED time…not Hayes time!
I woke up feeling like I was doped…
The time change thing does not work so well on 5 year olds and 3 year olds…they were up at 6:15…which was really 5:15…which means we lost 2 hours…not one…cuz normally they are awake at 7:30/8:00 on weekends…so WTF?! I am soooo confused…
Just hand me a latte and I will survive…

  5. Me too. I hate to lose the hour, but we were actually able to eat dinner WITH The Goon Squad last night. Usually they are sound asleep by 7:00, now it is closer to 8:00.

  6. My wife and I were evil and kept young Oliver up late last night. This morning he “slept” in until 7:30 instead of waking up early at “6:30″. Although I think I’ll miss the early wake up call when it comes to be time to have to take him to day care.

  7. High five, my friend…we’re in the same boat and almost the exact same schedule. It was so nice to wake up BEFORE my daughter this morning…

  8. Yes! Me too, got in a shower BEFORE the boy got up. High Five!

  9. You know, I did a post saying how much I was hating losing an hour’s worth of sleep. Then, this weekend, the babies slept the entire night. They didn’t wake up at 5:15 like usual and I actually have had to wake them up to feed them the last couple of days.

We must have been on Hayes time without knowing it.

  10. Same for us here! It was great waking up and seeing it was almost 7. Still doesn’t change the fact that he titmouses all night long and I’m tired as hell anyway. But it’s still nicer to be up at 7 than 6!

  11. Our little guy is the 5:00 a.m. child and with this time change he has become the 6:15 a.m. child. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! That extra hour plus is a blessing.
