Right now the daddy bloggers are representin’. The Parental Olympian, Scott Goldblatt, is sticking with his Alma Mater and is praying that Texas truly is the Lone Star. He is the only person to pick Texas to win it all (compared to nine of us who picked UCONN). This daring (or blind loyalty, you decide) just might catapult him to glory down the road. Or, it could be the end of the line when Texas falls to Duke or LSU as only two of his final four teams are still alive. Only time will tell.
Tied with Scott is Crouton Boy (who successfully picked 13 of the Sweet 16) and Willy P. (12 of 16 correct) who both picked UConn to win. Following closely behind is Rob Fay and our first Mommy, Susan. Sadly, Susan, has virtually no chance since only one of her final four teams are still alive. But, hey she’s going with Duke so she’s still alive.
The rest of us are fighting on. Me, Jonathan, Sarah and Big Dubya are still in the hunt all tied for sixth place.
Only four have no chance. I’m not sure how they picked their picks but perhaps dart throwing would be more successful next time. Our man Kemp, correctly pointed out on his own blog last week that he sucks at these things. No argument here, man. (As for Trish, Kristie and Scott, well, I’ll just stay quiet.) :)

Woo Hoo! Tied for sixth is better than I’m doing in my other Brackets.
That’s what I get for letting the boy make my picks! Next time, I’m going to tap the cat!
Though I’m not in this, I’m still holding out hope that my alma mater, the University of Washington, can pull off a major upset on UConn! GO DAWGS!!
I told you… didn’t I tell you? When one of your Final Four teams gets knocked out in the first round, you know you’re gonna suck.
A more shallow man would be moaning and groaning that being beaten by women in a sports contest is demeaning… but I won’t… I’m just moaning about how much I suck…
It kills me that my ONLY remaining Final Four team is Duke. How pathetic is that? Sheesh.
I’m just glad I’m beating Kemp. Kidding! Only kidding.
I feel like a genius, considering I spent 0.00056 seconds considering my picks. You’re going down, Scott! Go Zags!
As much as I enjoy being tied for first after the first weekend, I’m actually more disappointed that my Cal Golden Bears got bounced in the first round. Ay, the torment of Cal hoops fans.
Well, someone has to be in last place. I may not be doing well in the bracket, but my husband and I are having a great time watching games together!
I said I would either be the genius or the idiot. I picked mine mostly on favorite teams of mine. Some years they treat me well, other years? Yeah not so much but it’s fun to do this anyway.
