Baby Smiles
Genuine | March 15
My seven month old son is a smiley baby. He smiles at everything. Loud noises, kids screaming, the television, and especially his Daddy. He always has a smile for me when I need one, which recently is every chance I can get. Looking at his smile makes me wonder whether he too will be smiling at my age the way he smiles now. I can only wish he will. Sometimes it is tough to crack that smile, because everyday life makes it difficult. We have the stress of the mortgage, the heat bill, our jobs, and lack of sleep to thank for the reasons not to smile.
If I could bottle that one moment when my baby smiles at me, and somehow inject that into my system whenever life gets in the way, it would make all of the bad times bearable. Here is hoping that today you get to see a baby smile.

Our son was THE smiley-est baby. Which was great for me since he was #3, and I was about to lose my mind. Maybe Genuine baby knows he’s #4, and he better cut you some slack.
The Mouse is 4 months old and is totally into the smiling thing and does so with her ENTIRE face… her eyes smile, which gets me every time.
She’s now venturing into the giggles (you know those laughs that start from the belly?) which are to-die-for!
TV’s happiness is contagious, and is definitely one of the main highlights of my existence. His happiness seems unshakeable, and I am sometimes awed at his ability to be positive under almost any circumstances. I never missed his smiles before he came along, but now they’re critical.
The Smile is the most intoxicating of God’s/Nature’s creations. If it could be bottled, it would have to be very carefully regulated.
I’m drunk on Smile right now…
I couldn’t agree with you more. Those smiles make everything worthwhile.
If you ever figure out to do this and patent it, let me know. I’d buy stock and count on retiring early :)
Whenever we are out and my kids smile at strangers - man, if you could bottle that and sell it, it would more than pay for the mortgage! Who wouldn’t want a baby smiling at them?
Awwww. I won’t be around any babies today. Maybe tomorrow?
Their smiles…their scent…their absolute unflawed selves…their skin…the sounds they make when they sleep…their breath…
Pure bliss….
And the good news is that they continue to smile at you even during their terrible threes. There’s nothing like a totally open face on a toddler that is beaming at you.
I love WHAT my daughter smiles at. Her brother, the dog, the wall, her crackers. It doesn’t matter if they smile back - it’s all good. She’ll keep smiling just the same.
My 6 month old little man is very smiley. He totally knows how to work it, too.
“My seven month old son is a smiley baby.”
-> So is mine! He flirts with me and smiles and laughs and it’s the best! My face hurts because I have to smile back so much, but it’s sooo worth it.
