Famdemic
More Diapers | February 22It’s famdemic number two here at the More Diapers household. It’s officially the first famdemic which was caused by daycare. An awful cold has swept through our house, leaving me worthless, Hayes cranky and Jen to sickly carry the torch.
Fortunately it’s also school vacaction week, so we’ve been lucky (some may think this statement sarcastic, it’s not) enough to have the company and help of my parents. They’ve been carrying some of the load with Hayes, getting up with him this morning and generally being those people wearing those white hazmat suits that clean up after famdemics like ours.
This famdemic has not gone without some tragedy, as my father’s hazmat suit may have been punctured, so he too is suffering our fate. Good new is that Hayes is recovering nicely. My guess is, given some time, we all will.

I’ve been there. Famdemics are not fun. All I can say is wash your hands (and have your kids wash theirs) as if you were Howard Hughes.
